WARSAW: The European Union has earmarked the equivalent of PLN 1.2 billion to local governments in Eastern Poland for the development of road infrastructure in the region. The funds will be transferred as part of the Eastern Poland 2014-2020 EU programme. The agreements will be signed by the end of June, said deputy Development Minister Adam Hamryszczak.
All investments will have a greater impact on the accessibility to transport of regional capitals, particularly in the voivodships of Warmia and Mazury, Podlasie, Podkarpacie, Lublin and Swietokrzyski, among others . “This will increase the investment attractiveness of the region and significantly increase availability to labour markets,” Hamryszczak said.
