ECC approves grant worth over Rs18b in favour of Postal Services, ECP

 ISLAMABAD: The Economic Coordination Committee of the cabinet has approved a supplementary grant worth over Rs18 billion in favor of Postal Services and the Election Commission of Pakistan.

The ECC, which met in Islamabad today with Finance Minister Muhammad Aurangzeb in the chair, approved 16.995 billion rupees for clearing of verified pending liabilities of companies and agency partners of Pakistan Post Office Department.

It also nodded a grant of 1.317 billion rupees for the Election Commission of Pakistan in connection with Local Government bye-elections in all the four provinces and Islamabad during the current fiscal year. 25.

Besides, the meeting okayed proposals for enhancing FBR’s Operational Expertise and Organizational Capacities, Anti-Smuggling Measures under FBR Transformation Plan, as well as Performance Management Regime, Capacity Building Program and Mobility and Transit Accommodation Arrangements for FBR Officers.
