ECC approves provision of 85,000mt wheat to TDPs of Fata, KP

ISLAMABAD: The Economic Coordination Committee (ECC) of the Cabinet has approved provision of remaining 85,000 metric tonnes of wheat to the temporarily displaced people (TDPs) of Fata and KP out of the total amount of 155,000 metric tonnes already approved in principle.

The Ministry of States and Frontier Regions had requested to the ECC for the approval in this regard. This wheat will be consumed during the period of June-September 2015. The Finance Ministry will pay Rs3.444 billion for this quantity as fixed by Passco.
