Under the process, the educational documents of the lower divisional clerks (LDCs), upper divisional clerks (UDCs), appraising officers (AOs) and examining officers (EO) would be scrutinized.

Sources informed Customs Today that FBR Chairman Nisar Mohammad and Member Customs Nasir Masroor have taken the step to scrutinize the educational ceritificates of the officials to complete the recruitments process.

The sources further said that most of the appraising and examining officers in the Pakistan Customs Services are working on technical side and their assignments and duties are incompatible with their educational qualifications.

The sources further hinted that the said step of the FBR authorities concerned would put the services of several officials of Pakistan Customs Services (PCS) at risk. However, the Pakistan Customs on the other hand is facing acute shortage of man power and technical staff as no new recruitment is being done in the Pakistan Customs Services-PCS up to Grade-16 since long.
