Eight employees of Multan Customs test positive for COVID -19 after random screening

MULTAN: District Health Department confirmed as many as 8 employees including deputy collector Customs Collectorate Enforcement & Compliance (E&C) positive after random screening of COVID-19.

Sources told Customs Today those employees who have tested positive were all asymptomatic and are quarantining at home for two weeks until they receive a negative COVID-19 test to return to work.

The Customs Collectorate Enforcement & Compliance (E&C) requested district health department to carry out random testing of Covid-19 of employees to contain spread of Corona virus.

The Collectorate has decided to carry out screening of all 116 employees working in the Customs House and field staff to avoid corona spread. Collector Customs Muneeza Majeed has taken decision of random screening of all employees and officials to prevent them from pandemic virus.

As many as 8 employees including Deputy Collector Headquarter Amjad Aman has been tested positive along with other employees.

Deputy Collector Amjad Aman and his 10-year-old son has also been tested positive along with his wife during testing. While another Covid-19 positive includes dispatcher Faisal Habib, Sepoy Sadiq Husssain, Muhammad Ali, Muhammad Umer, Mazhar Masood, Muhammad Nadeem and Iqbal Masih.

These employees has been directed by Collector Muneeza Majeed to stay at home for two until they receive a negative COVID-19 after quarantine.One of female employees Saleha Shafiq test resport is still pending

The Customs Collectorate Multan has taken serious measures to contain Corona virus and directed all employees to wear face mask in the Collectorate to contain the spread of Corona virus. Multan Customs has also done disinfection spray in all branches of Collectorate to avoid corona spread and asked employees to follow standard operating procedure (SOP s) to contain corona.
