The Nigerian Ports Authority (NPA) stated this in its publication, `Shipping Position,’’ a copy of which was made available to the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) on Friday in Lagos. The document indicated that another ship had arrived the ports waiting to discharge aviation fuel. The NPA noted that 37 other ships containing petroleum products, food items and other goods were being expected at the ports from May 13 to June 4. It explained that other expected ships contained general cargoes, bulk salt, bulk sugar, buck wheat, bulk gypsum, crude palm olein, diesel, base oil, kerosene, bulk charcoal and containerised goods. NAN reports that 19 other ships are at the ports discharging wheat, general cargoes, petrol, sugar, bulk gypsum, Low Pour Fuel Oil (LPFO), aviation fuel and containers.
