ISLAMABAD: At least 11 members of the National Assembly (NA) will not participate in voting for the election the speaker as they have not submitted their tax returns and their memberships were suspended.
According to details, eleven MNAs include Muhammad Khan Sherani, Ameen Faheem, Rasheed Gudail, Kanwar Naveed, Sajid Nawaz, Mohsin Shahnawaz, Shafaat Hatat, Salman Haneef, Moeen Watto, Diwan Aashiq and Sultan Mehmood. Their membership was suspended due to non-submission of tax returns.
Sources added that if these members submitted their tax returns before Monday, they will be able to participate in voting process for Speaker of NA.
