WASHINGTON: Eight new jobs have been created following a major £305,000 makeover at a popular Ellesmere Port pub. Community sports pub The Cat on Wolverham Road has undergone the refurb by operator Punch Taverns, said to be one of the country’s largest and longest established pub companies. The project took five weeks to complete and the re-opening was followed by a visit from Ellesmere Port and Neston MP Justin Madders (Lab) to raise a toast to the pub’s success.
