Empire Global subsidiary expand sports betting reach in Italy

ROME: Empire Global has announced that its Multigioco has agreed a deal to add up to 180 online web-shop gaming arcades situated in various regions across Italy.

The agreement will expand the company’s footprint in the country to over 1,000 web-shop locations and approximately 25,000 gaming accounts, with Empire projecting that the move will boost online gross gaming revenue to €100 million ($110.4 million).

Empire expects all locations to be integrated under the Multigioco online licence and flagged with the Originalbet.it brand by the end of next month.

Alessandro Marcelli, president of Empire Global, said: “The acquisition of these prominent locations is a major stepping stone in our strategy for the 2016 license tender in Italy and is a great result for expanding the New Gioco and Multigioco brand in the market.”
