RAWALPINDI: Encroachment is one of the major hurdle in reviving the heritage and beautification of Rawalpindi. The main markets of the city are facing massive encroachments causing hurdles not only for the customers but also affecting the business activities in the city.  Traders and commuters are both facing difficulties during routine shopping and it went doubled on festive shopping. The city administration, TMA and Traffic department had to play their due role here and we (traders) are ready to support their anti-encroachment drives. There must be a complete ban on selling goods on carts in Sadar bazaar.

These remarks were made by Malik Shahid Saleem president Rawalpindi Chamber of Commerce and Industry (RCCI) during his meeting with Cantonment Executive Officer Sibtein Raza in his office.  He was accompanied by former President Asad Mashadi and Former Senior Vice President Saqib Rafiq.
