ISLAMABAD: Special Assistant to Prime Minister Tariq Fatmi has directed the Capital Development Authority (CDA) to conduct a survey for identifying the encroachments in the Diplomatic Enclave and remove the illegal structures.
Fatimi, in a letter to the CDA chairman, said that he was surprised to know during his inspection of the Diplomatic Enclave last month that unlawful constructions and encroachments have popped up with impunity in the inner areas. Several embassies have also expressed their apprehension about these encroachments due to security concerns. Encroachments could not be allowed in the name of security, the letter added.
The CDA has been directed to free the Diplomatic Enclave from encroachments and illegal occupations.
