Environment Festival at PAF Museum from June 1

KARACHI: The National Forum for Environment and Health (NFEH) in collaboration with United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP), Commissioner Office Karachi and other organizations is going to organize Environment Festival at PAF Museum on June 1.

NFEH President M. Naeem Qureshi briefed that 20 schools, NGOs corporate sector and celebrities will be participating in the festival, said a statement on Friday.

Students will participate in competition of posters drawing, environmental projects, tableau’s, songs and quiz.

The objective of the festival is to promote awareness, education and mobilization on environment protection he added.

He said Sindh Minister for Sports Fayaz Ali Butt and Commissioner Karachi Shoaib Ahmed Siddiqui will be the chief guest on the occasion.

Swiss Consul General Emil Wyss, Mirza Ishtiaq Baig, Sameer Shaikh, Dr. Kasier Waheed & others will be the guest of honor on the occasion.

The NFEH earlier announced to hold different activities and functions from June 1 to 7, 2015 on the occasion of World Environment Day.
