EPS increase to Rs4.56 from Rs3.95: Meezan Bank posts Rs4.57b profit for 2014

KARACHI: Meezan Bank Ltd has reported Rs4.570 billion profit-after-tax for the year ended Dec 31, 2014 as compared to Rs3.957 billion it earned last year, with growth in earnings per share (eps) at Rs4.56 from Rs3.95.

In a meeting, its board recommended distribution of 12.5 per cent final cash dividend for the year 2014, thus bringing the total payout, together with the earlier cash dividend of 15pc, to 27.5pc. The bank’s deposits increased by 31pc to Rs380bn in 2014 while its financing portfolio grew by 38pc to Rs176bn.-
