Establishment Division starts preparing promotion list of customs officials

KARACHI: The Establishment Division of Pakistan Customs Services (PCS) while following directives of the Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) has started to make the promotion list of those officials of Pakistan Customs Services whose promotions are due for last many years.

The reliable sources informed Customs Today that the Establishment Division has started its working on preparing promotion list of the officials on seniority basis.

They further said that the authorities concerned while preparing the promotion list of the officials is keeping in view the performance, discipline and competency.

“The names of around 40 officials from different departments of Pakistan Customs have been included in the promotion list which includes the names of appraisers, principal appraisers and personal assistants, who are working in Grade-12 to Grade-14 respectively”, sources added.

The sources further revealed that the Establishment Division after preparing the list of the officials will send it to the relevant Collectorate for final approval and after that the final list of the officials will send to the FBR Headquarters for further proceedings.

It is pertinent to mention here that the FBR has recently promoted 47 Assistant Collectors (ACs) of the service on to the rank of deputy Collectors (DC), last month.
