SARGODHA: In a drive against defaulter vehicles and illegal number plates, the Excise and Taxation (E&T) department impounded 143 vehicles from various parts of the district.
E&T spokesman told APP that the E&T teams checked 400 vehicles and impounded 143 unregistered and bearing illegal number plates vehicles while 500 defaulters in token taxes vehicles were given warnings.
Over 12 teams of E&T department headed by Excise and Taxation Officers concerned conducted operations at various points of their areas.
