TOKYO: Triumph Studios rids their own train, pushing out quality content and expansions that deserve the word expansion as opposed to glorified DLC, which is what most expansions, feel like these days. “Eternal Lords is the major, second expansion for Age of Wonders III, marking one year of continuous development since its release,” the official landing page says.
“The expansion is accompanied by the free V1.5 main game update introducing Vassals, the New Play by Email multiplayer mode, Mac/Linux support, Race Relations, improved AI, and more racial unit diversity.”
Race Governance has been added as a new mechanic to allow players to further fine tune their empires, while diplomacy and empire development have been further tweaked, as has been the case since the game’s launch. It’s available through GOG or Steam for US$20, while a package with both expansions and the original game is going for just over US$40 on Steam. There’s a deal on GOG too, but the overall package is slightly more expensive.
