ROME: European stock markets are trading lower on Friday after opening slightly higher on Friday, as traders’ focus returns once more to next week’s meeting of the U.S. Federal Reserve.
Europe’s leading Blue-chip index, EURO STOXX 50 declined 10.03 points or 0.31 percent to trade at 3,211.11.
While UK’s benchmark index FTSE 100 fell 10.46 points or 0.17 percent to trade at 6,145.35. Germany’s benchmark index DAX fell 35.18 points or 0.34 percent to trade at 10,175.26.
Meanwhile, French benchmark index CAC 40 declined 9.59 points or 0.21 percent to trade at 4,586.94.
On Thursday, European stock markets closed lower. Europe’s leading Blue-chip index, EURO STOXX 50 fell 48.84 points or 1.52 percent to settle at 3,221.14. UK’s benchmark index FTSE 100 declined 73.20 points or 1.19 percent to close at 6,155.81.
