Ex-CFO PPDC indicted in Rs230m embezzlement case

LAHORE: An anti-corruption court on Friday indicted former chief financial officer of the Punjab Power Development Company (PPDC), Ikram Naveed, and others in Rs230 million embezzlement case.

Earlier, Anti-Corruption Establishment (ACE) produced the accused before Anti-Corruption Court Judge Murid Hussain. The court indicted the accused, though all of them pleaded not guilty and contended to contest the charges.

At this, the court adjourning the matter till April 17 summoned witnesses for recording their statements. The indictment of the accused came after the ACE submitted a challan against the suspects in the court. The ACE had declared Ex-CFO and others guilty of embezzlement.
