Ex-Sindh IG Jamali, 7 others indicted in NAB corruption case

KARACHI: A local accountability court has indicted former Inspector General of Sindh police Ghulam Hayder Jamali and seven other accused in a corruption case on Monday.

This is being dubbed as the most important corruption case in the history of Sindh police.

The accused pleaded not guilty after the court indicted them. On this the court summoned the witnesses on November 8.

The accused have been charged of 881 illegal appointments in SRP Hyderabad that caused a heavy blow worth Rs.500 million to national exchequer, the National Accountability Bureau (NAB) said.

All the accused are on interim bail from the Sindh High Court (SHC).
