The heavy rainfall has created issues for the importers and exporters as it causes hurdles in the clearance of their consignments at the Multan Dry Port. Multan Dry Port has not excessive containers and the staffs were willing to examine the containers but on the request of client it gets delayed.

Due to heavy rainfall in Multan City the roads were full with sewerage and rain water but the flood is already on the edges of the Chenab River which also creates situation more miserable for the importers and exporters.

The examination process of the imported consignments at the Multan is being affected due to torrential rain and the rain drizzle constantly in the Multan city. Examination of consignment was reduced due to heavy rainfall at the Multan Dry Port.

Torrential rain may affect importer and exporter as it will increase the cost of doing business as they will have to pay demurrage and detention charges to the shipping companies.  Customs authorities at the Multan Dry Port were making their efforts to clear all consignments without any delay.
