Excise and Taxation Department launches operations for vehicles tax recovery

KARACHI: Sindh Minister for Excise and Taxation and Narcotics Control Mukesh Kumar Chawla has said that Road Checking Campaign to nab vehicles tax defaulters will be launched in current month.

This he said while presiding over a departmental meeting here in his office on Monday, said a statement Secretary ET&NC Abdul Haleem Shaikh and Director General Shoaib Ahmed Siddiqui also attended the meeting.

The Minister advised the owners of the vehicles to pay their due taxes to avoid any unpleasant situation and keep the relevant documents in their vehicles.

He directed the director general to constitute special teams to ensure the drive against tax defaulting vehicles a success.

Chawla further directed to also launch an awareness campaign for defaulting vehicles in order to provide a fair chance for them to deposit their due taxes, adding that the assigned checking teams must be polite and humble during the campaign and must work within the limits of the law.
