Major reshuffling of Excise and Taxation officers soon

LAHORE: The Excise and Taxation Department is expected to reshuffle employees on a large scale, as a number of irregularities are being reported in the department.

According to an official of the Excise and Taxation Department, complaints against the staff members for their alleged involvement in corrupt practices and irregularities were received.

The official said that a number of officers were allegedly involved in nepotism and corruption, especially in the Motor Branch and Narcotics Cell.

He added that these complaints came into the knowledge of higher officials, and soon the officers of these two department involved in irregularities would be reshuffled.
