Multan: Excise and Taxation Dept seals 103 residential, commercial properties

MULTAN: The Punjab Excise and Taxation Department has sealed 103 residential and commercial properties for not paying tax in the Multan city during property tax collection campaign.

As per details Property Tax Branch of Excise and Taxation Multan has launched the property sealing campaign in the Multan from the defaulters to collect taxes.

Excise and Taxation Department Multan Property Branch has issued 177 final notices to all the defaulters of property tax in this regard in two days. E&T Department has sealed 103 residential buildings, houses, commercial shops in the markets for non-payment of their owed taxes. The department is taking stern action against the defaulters without any discrimination in the Multan City for the collection of taxes.

According to the department the defaulters were given full opportunity to pay their outstanding taxes, but continuous ignorance all the tax notices left no other way than sealing their property.

E&T Property Tax Branch has also prepared the list of 2793 property tax defaulters after proper survey from the representatives of property branch. These new tax defaulters lists have been just prepared and final notices for the recovery of property taxes will be issued soon to 2793 defaulters in the Multan City.

The tax recovery notices of Rs 7.5 million will be issued very soon to 2793 defaulters.
