Excise and Taxation seals 291 properties, impound 124 vehicles

SIALKOT: Special recovery teams of Excise and Taxation (E&T) department has sealed 291 properties and impounded 124 vehicles of chronic defaulters during a campaign here.The E&T teams had set up special pickets at all entry and exit points in Gujranwala division’s all six districts: Sialkot, Narowal, Gujrat, Mandi Bahauddin, Hafizabad and Gujranwala.

The teams checked more than 3,000 vehicles, out of which 124 were impounded for non-payment of registration and token taxes.The local E&T officials said that the accused property owners had been reluctant to pay their outstanding dues, prompting the E&T action.
