Lahore: Anti-Narcotics Cell arrests 5, recovers 4.5kg drugs

LAHORE: The Anti-Narcotics Cell of the Punjab Excise and Taxation Department has recovered 3 kg Charas and 1.5 kg heroin during raids. According to Excise and Taxation Officer (ETO) Lateef Anjum, upon orders of Director General Excise Ahmad Aziz Tarar and Director Excise and Taxation Iqbal Nasir teams of Excise raided in two hide outs of narcotics sellers and recovered drugs. Under the supervision of ETO Latif Anjum, team comprising of Excise Inspectors Akhtar Sindhu, Waqas Aslam, Sharoon, Javed, Armaghan raided and recovered 3 kg charas and 1.5 kg heroin.

Excise arrested five accused Waqas Ali, Mohammad Azam, Humaira Riaz, Shaid Latif, Gulam Nabi during raids at Shahdra and Nawankot areas. Excise has registered cases against accused in respective Police stations.
