Excise committee to review reports of misappropriation in taxes today

ISLAMABAD: The Excise and Taxation’s departmental committee meeting will be held today (Tuesday).

According to the details, the departmental committtee will review the 47 audit papers prepared by the external auditor for the fiscal year 2014-15.

Sources told Customs Today that during the audit of the said year the external auditor observed misappropriation of billions of rupees in term of property tax, professional tax and motor tax recoveries. After the observation of such frauds, the external committer referred 47 papers to the departmental committee to review.

Sources added that Excise and Taxation provincial secretary will chaired the meeting of the departmental committee today.
