23 posts of taxation officers lying vacant at Punjab Excise Dept

LAHORE: Lack of staff is affecting the performance of Excise and Taxation Department Punjab. Department is facing shortfall in revenue collection.

Out of 162 assistant excise and taxation officer posts 23 are vacant. Only three meetings of departmental promotion committee have been held in the last three years. As many as 67 inspectors have been promoted to assistant excise and taxation officers.
