Punjab Excise Dept recovers Rs 900m tax in first six months of current fiscal year

SIALKOT: The Excise and Taxation Department has yet recovered as many as Rs 900 million as property tax, motor tax, professional tax and other taxes from Gujranwala Division’s all the six Sialkot, Narowal, Gujrat, Mandi Bahaud Din and Hafizabad.

The revenue has been recovered during the first six months of the running fiscal year against the fixed official recovery tax target of Rs 1.94 billion for this fiscal year. According to the senior officials of the E&T Department, the special recovery teams were busy in their special recovery duties and they would achieve the above-mentioned recovery target.
