Excise Dept seals 277 properties, 55 vehicles in Gujranwala Division

SIALKOT: As many as 80 special recovery teams of the Excise and Taxation Department have  sealed 277 properties of chronic defaulters of property tax in all the six districts of Gujranwala Division, including Sialkot, Narowal, Gujrat, Mandi Bahaud Din , Hafizabad and Gujranwala on Tuesday.

According to the officials, said teams also impounded 55 different vehicles for non-payment of token taxes. Excise teams have also challaned 350 public transport vehicles for overcharging transport fares from public and fined Rs 54,700 to owners in this regard.
