Excise DG Akram Ashraf for achieving set revenue target

LAHORE: Punjab Excise and Taxation Director General Akram Ashraf Gondal has directed all subordinates to take steps for achieving the target of the current fiscal year.

The DG issued these directions while presiding over a directors’ conference held at the directorate, Lahore in which all the directors from Punjab presented their performance report of the first six months (July-December).

Officials said that the directors informed the authorities concerned about what they have planned for achieving 100 percent target in the remaining months.

During the meeting, DG Gondal also directed the participants to take action against defaulters of property tax, token tax and professional tax as well in order to recover outstanding amount.

The DG also revised the targets assigned to the Gujranwala, Rawalpindi, Jehlum and Bahawalpur regions, as the recoveries in these regions were not satisfactory.
