SIALKOT: Excise And Taxation Department Director General Akram Ashraf Gondal has issued a letter to the directors of all nine divisions to achieve the assigned target of revenue for the fiscal year 2015-16.
The director general also directed the officers to expedite the recovery of property, token, professional and others taxes from defaulters, intimating that all directors will be responsible if they remained fail to achieve the assigned target.
He instructed the directors to warn the excise inspectors for improving the performance and tightened noose around the tax defaulters. The officers and officials will have to face the departmental proceedings if they could not achieve the target by the end of fiscal year, he said.
