Nepra cuts electricity price by Rs1.98 per unit under quarterly adjustment

Two years ago, the Multan Excise and Taxation Department was the top tax collector in Punjab, but its revenue collection has decreased since then.

The department lacks space as its building is located in a congested area near MDA Chowk, which also requires renovation in order to continue its operations.

The working conditions at the centre are irritating as all the departments are jumbled together and the public finds it difficult to locate their relevant officers.

Director Jaam Siraj Ahmad who joined the Excise and Taxation Department in Multan two months ago told Customs Today that the facilitation centre will resume its operations soon, as the department has already asked for funds from the higher authorities to perform administrative activities in a better way.
