LAHORE: The motor branch of the Excise and Taxation Department has impounded 17 vehicles in a special crackdown at liberty Chowk, Gulberg.
On Monday, the excise started a special crackdown against token tax defaulters and established a checkpoint at Liberty Chowk with the collaboration of Pakistan Customs. The teams checked more than 300 vehicles and seized documents of dozens of default vehicles, besides impounding 17 vehicles.
Following the direction of Excise Director General, the motor branch director has formed ten special teams for the recovery of token tax from the defaulters. The teams are working in different areas of Lahore, including Jail Road, Thokar Niaz Baig, Burki Road, Ferozpur Road, Shahdara, etc.
