Sialkot: Excise issues final notices of luxury tax to 90 bungalow owners

SIALKOT: The Excise and Taxation Department has issued final notices to owners of as many as 90 luxury residential bungalows, warning them their their properties will be sealed if they failed to deposit their luxury tax.

According to the Excise and Taxation Department Gujranwala Division Director  Rao Shakilur Rehman, the department had identified as many as 100 luxury bungalows in the division’s all the six districts – Sialkot, Narowal, Gujrat, Mandi Bahauddin, Hafizabad and Gujranwala – besides repeatedly issuing recovery notices to the owners, asking them to deposit their luxury tax.

The department had also given them several deadlines for the payment of the said tax. Only 10 out of 100 people have submitted their due tax and now the Excise and Taxation Department has sent the remaining owners final notices. Rao Shakilur Rehman said that these luxury bungalows would be sealed very soon in case of non-submission of tax.
