LAHORE: The Excise and Taxation Department with the collaboration of the district government has started a campaign against filthy and substandard food sellers in Kasur city and other big localities of the district.
According to Kasur Excise District Officer Malik Muhammad Aslam, the inspection teams of Food and Health Departments inspected food outlets to check if they were complying with the food safety laws.
The inspection teams confiscated a huge quantity of various food items and unhygienic milk, and sent the same to the laboratory for analysis.
ETO Malik Aslam has also instructed the authorities to take all possible measures for proper and thorough checking food items being sold in the district, which would help save citizens’ health.
