Excise impounds 131 token tax defaulter and unregistered vehicles in Multan

MULTAN: The Excise and Taxation Department Multan impounded 131 vehicles in the city during general holdup on Friday.

Following the directions of Director Jaam Siraaj Ahmad, Excise Motor Branch is taking stern action against token tax defaulters and unregistered vehicles in the region. The department has formed four special teams to crack down on tax evaders and to impound unregistered vehicles in Multan.

The four teams have established checkpoints at different locations of the city to impound unregistered vehicles. The Excise and Taxation Motor Registration Branch has impounded 12 unregistered vehicles during the operation. On the other hand, the department has collected Rs 0.47 million from the owners of the impounded vehicles.
