Excise Multan seals 248 properties, recovers Rs 1.3m from defaulters ‏

MULTAN: The Excise and Taxation Department has sealed 248 commercial and domestic properties for non-payment of outstanding taxes during the last two days .

The department has started a crackdown on property tax defaulters, under the supervision of the Director Jaam Siraaj. During the tax collection drive against tax defaulters, property tax branch teams have sealed 248 properties in various parts of Multan.

The series of crackdown continues against tax defaulters, as the excise and taxation survey department took action against various housing societies and their owners who are tax defaulters. The excise department had completed survey of all the newly-established housing societies in Multan for collection of property tax and sealed  defaulter housing societies.

This crackdown was initiated on numerous domestic and commercial properties like bungalows, shops located in the vraious parts of the city.

Excise have also collected Rs 1.3 million revenue from defaulters during fresh drive against property taxes . More operations will be conducted in the upcoming days against defaulters for the collection of taxes.
