Excise official asked to verify property tax amount on challan duly

ISLAMABAD: Excise and Taxation Rawalpindi Director Tanveer Abbas Gondal has directed all inspectors to distribute property tax challans among citizens after proper verification of the tax amount.

According to the details, a high level meeting of the Rawalpindi Excise officials was held in order to discuss the matters of property tax challans.

Director Tanveer said that tax challan must be countersigned by excise and taxation officers to avoid any mistake. He also asked the officials to distribute the property tax challans by end of August, 2015, so that taxpayers could get five percent concession which was offered by department up to September 30..

It is important to mention here that Punjab Excise department has sent computerized property tax challan forms to six districts of Punjab so far.
