Excise Punjab will establish Intelligence network

LAHORE: Excise and Taxation Department of Punjab has decided to establish its own intelligence network in the province.

According to details available to Customs Today from officials of Excise Punjab intelligence network in the province will have most concentration on elimination of drug peddlers and manufacturing of fake alcohol.  Sources told that in first step this intelligence network will be established in Lahore that will dig out the hideouts of such elements which are spoiling the society. This network will be broadened to other cities of Punjab.

Excise and Taxation Officer of Lahore told that Excise is very vigilant in elimination of drug dealers and manufacturers and soon a huge crackdown will also be initiated.

It is pertinent to mention here that in January more than 12 people were died in Yuhanaabad and Nishtar Town area of Lahore who used poisonous alcohol.
