Rawalpindi Excise achieves revenue target for 2014-15

ISLAMABAD: The Rawalpindi Excise and Taxation, Motor Branch, has achieved the revenue target for fiscal year 2014-15.

According to details, the Motor Branch has collected Rs 612.6 million revenue, while the set target for the branch was Rs 600 million for fiscal year 2014-15.

The branch has successfully achieved revenue in the column of registration, transfer, token and life token tax of vehicles.

Sources added that the branch struggled hard for collecting revenue and achieving the target as during the start of fiscal year 2014-15 decrease in registration of new vehicles witnessed due to heavy duties and taxes on motor cars and imposition of heavy fees and withholding tax on transfer of vehicles.

Sourced added that  Excise and Taxation Rawalpindi Director Tanveer Abbas Gondal has praised the efficient teamwork of the staff and employees and expressed satisfaction over the performance of the department.
