ISLAMABAD: The Excise and Taxation office Rawalpindi has failed to distribute/issue at least 0.2 million number plates to the vehicle owners.
According to sources, due to inefficiency and irresponsible behavior of staff of the Excise and Taxation office Rawalpindi, at least 0.2 million number plates could not be distributed among the vehicles owners. On the other hand, the vehicle owners have paid the fees for the number plates a year ago.
Meanwhile, sources added that NAB has also started investigation against corruption of Rs 30 million in property tax (forged vouchers) and late payment of recovery money in banks by Excise and Taxation Department Rawalpindi.
Customers appealed to authorities concerned to look into this matter and do the needful to solve this issue at the earliest.
