Lahore: Excise seizes documents of 5,714 vehicles in February

LAHORE: The Excise and Taxation Department, during strict action against token tax defaulter and unregistered vehicles on roads, seized documents of 5,714 vehicles from different parts of the city.
According to Motor Branch Director Suhail Arshad, the Excise Department is very vigilant against defaulters, especially those using their vehicles without registration. During the month of February, the Excise Motor Branch seized documents of 5,714 vehicles in Lahore.

As per the details available with Customs Today, the Excise Motor Branch during February checked 38,917 vehicles in different areas of Lahore and found 5,769 vehicles without registration or a valid token. A number of vehicles were also impounded during the action.
Millions of rupees were recovered from the defaulters, as most of the citizens got their documents back after paying their defaulted amount.

Teams of Excise Motor Branch Lahore have established special checkpoints on different roads. Excise seizes documents during checking of vehicles on Jail Road, Ferozepur Road, Model Town, Multan Road, Raiwand Road, Ravi Road, Faisal Town, Defense Morr, Ghazi Chowk and Shahdara toll plaza.
