Excise seals 284 properties in Gujranwala over non-payment of tax

SIALKOT: The Excise and Taxation Department’s 80 special recovery teams have sealed as many as 284 tax defaulter properties and impounded 123 token tax defaulter vehicles in Gujranwala Division during the general holdup.

The Excise and Taxation continued its hunt against property tax and token tax defaulters by further tightening its circle around them, and expedited the recovery campaign in the division.

According to officials, the Excise and Taxation Department had sent final warning notices to the owners of the said properties and vehicles for the early payment of their outstanding dues, but they did not pay their outstanding dues.

The operation had been conducted in Gujranwala Division’s all six districts: Sialkot, Narowal, Gujrat, Mandi Bahauddin, Hafizabad and Gujranwala.
