Excise Dept seals 390 properties for tax evasion in Multan

MULTAN: The Excise and Taxation Multan has sealed the 390 residential and commercial properties on non-payment of property tax.

As per details, excise had issued final demand notice to the tax defaulter few days ago to clear the outstanding arrears but they remained reluctant to pay taxes.

Over not compliance with rules, Director Excise and Taxation Multan Jaam Siraaj directed the property branch to take stern action against the defaulters for the collection of due taxes.

However, the department sealed the various properties in different areas including Gulgasht, Shah Rukn-e-Alam, Suraaj Miani and Multan Cantt during the operation. Four different teams of excise conducted operation in Multan against the defaulters.

It is important to mention here that Excise and Taxation Multan has recovered Rs 5.486 million from the property defaulters during last two days.
