Punjab Excise Dept impounds 100 unregistered vehicles in Lahore

LAHORE: The Excise and Taxation Department, in its ongoing drive against unregistered and non-token paid vehicles, has impounded 100 vehicles from different parts of the city.

The Lahore Excise Motor Branch teams impounded 100 unregistered vehicles on Friday during the general hold-up.

The officials checked more than 500 vehicles on the roads and seized documents of hundreds of defaulter vehicles.

Millions of rupees are expected from owners of vehicles that have been impounded, along with those from whom documents were seized.

Excise Motor Branch Director Suhail Arshad is very vigilant in Lahore for registration of new vehicles and collection of token tax in order to increase revenue of the department.

Director Suhail is personally visiting checkpoints in different parts of Lahore.
Teams of Excise Motor Branch Lahore have established special checkpoints on different roads.

Excise seized documents during checking of vehicles on Jail Road, Ferozepur Road, Model Town, Multan Road, Raiwand Road, Ravi Road, Faisal Town and Shahdara toll plaza.
