Lahore: Excise seizes documents of 530 token tax defaulter vehicles in one week

LAHORE: The Punjab Excise and Taxation department has seized documents of 530 token tax defaulter vehicles in one week.

During one week Excise Motor Branch established many checkpoints at different points of the city to catch the token tax defaulters.

Director Motor Branch, Suhail Arshad has directed the officers to conduct operation against the tax defaulters without any discrimination.

Director Suhail informed that department confiscated documents of 530 token tax defaulter vehicles, besides impounding some unregistered vehicles. He added that in recent move against defaulters Exise and Taxation has recovered millions of rupees.

The teams of Motor Branch established check-posts at entry and exit points of the city, Jail Road Liberty Chowk Gulberg, Ferozpur Road Multan Road, Thokar Niaz Baig, Wapda Town, DHA, Band Road, Shahdra and at Sagian bridge.
