Excise seizes documents of  635 token tax defaulter vehicles

LAHORE: Excise and Taxation Department Motor Branch Lahore seized documents of 635 token-tax defaulter vehicles in one week.

According to Motor Branch officials, special teams checked more than 2000 vehicles in different areas of Lahore and seized documents of 635. Team conducted operation on direction of Director Motor Branch, Suhail Arshad to check vehicles.

Official further said that department has recovered almost Rs 12 million in wake of token tax from the evaders.

He further added that excise is taking action against the governmental and private tax defaulter vehicles without discrimination as the department has seized the documents of Agriculture, live stock and civil Secretariat’s vehicles.

The teams established check posts at Wapda Town, Model Town, Faisal Town, Thokar Niaz Baig, Multan Road, shahdara, Railway Station and Ravi Road.
