Excise seizes documents of 90 token tax defaulter vehicles

LAHORE: The Excise and Taxation Department has seized documents of more than 90 vehicles during a general hold-up in the city.

Excise Motor Branch Director Suhail Arshad is taking stern action against token tax defaulters and unregistered vehicles in the region. Even on public holiday, the Motor Branch continued its crackdown against defaulters and seized documents of vehicles in different areas of the city.

The department has formed special teams to bring to book tax evaders and to impound unregistered vehicles. Director Suhail Arshad is supervising the campaign against such vehicles.

The teams have established checkpoints on different roads of the city. Excise seized documents of defaulting vehicles on Jail Road, Ferozpur Road, Model Town, Multan Road, Raiwind Road, Ravi Road, Faisal Town and Shahdara Toll Plaza.

It may mention here that Excise Director General Akram Ashraf Gondal has directed all officials of the regions to enhance their performance for recoveries and achieve target.
