SIALKOT: The Excise and Taxation Department was given an official target of Rs 2.17 billion in Gujranwala region in the current fiscal year out of which the department has recovered Rs 650 million (including Rs 410 million as property tax) after giving five percent discount to all the taxpayers until September 30.
According to the senior Excise and Taxation officials, the special recovery teams will recover Rs 919 million as property tax, Rs 66.7 million as professional tax, Rs 918 million as motor registration tax, Rs 13.8 million as excise duty, Rs.1.5 million as farm house tax and Rs 82.7 million as luxury tax from the taxpayers in Gujranwala Division.
