Excise special teams to collect tax from defaulters

LAHORE: The Excise and Taxation Department will constitute special teams to collect tax from defaulters. The excise and taxation officers will act as incharges of these teams.

According to details, Secretary Excise and Taxation Ahmed Bilal said that the department will introduce simple and easy procedure for the payment of property tax.

He added that the department is collecting token tax from vehicle owners according to the government laws. The secretary excise said that property tax defaulters not paying taxes in proper way. He said that his department has already dispatched notices to tax defaulters. He added that strict instructions are issued to all relevant offices not to spare anyone who is avoiding to pay taxes.

Yesterday secretary excise and taxation visited some branches to check six months tax recovery report.
